This is my first time buying a higher end (over $100) folding knife. It's a design I've been wanting for quite some time now. I had wanted a Pre-Benchmade Lone Wolf T1, but these days those cost as much as the Fantoni if you can even find one for sale. So I figured that since the price was the same I might as well step up to the titanium frame.

I'm pretty thrilled with the knife so far. My first impressions are very positive, and I am looking forward to seeing how the knife performs. It feels fantastic in the hand. I posted more pictures and first impressions on my blog here: http://centergnome.blogspot.com/2014/12/fantoni-hb-02-review-first-impressions.html

I look forward to being able to post a real review in a month or so.

Nice knife! I have no experience with Fantoni's craftsmanship, but I have never had a blade with Bill's name on it that I didn't like.

I love Bill's designs. Unfortunately for me, he mostly designs tactical knives that are more/different than I need in my life, but the few knives of his that fit my life are definitely nice to use. I'm occasionally tempted to buy a Difensa because I just think it is an amazing and gorgeous knife (and I got to have him explain the thought behind every aspect of that knife, and some others, to me). But I don't have much use for the Difensa, and I already have a fixed blade hunting knife that I am very attached to and like to take out into the woods with me, and it would make me sad to not use a knife like that. Though if I had had many more dollars than I have I would have jumped at the chance to get my hands on one of his Tactical Trouts.

Bills Tactical Trout has been a grail for a couple of years now. I have a Spartan Harsey Hunter I have had for nearly five years and I love it. I would love to have a smaller version.

It is a nice knife and the Fantoni is a very good brand.
I have Nilte Quiete (Massimo Fantoni design) and I'm also impressed by its quality.

I'm happy to see that italian knives are appreciated all around the world.
And Harsey design is great: functional, good-looking and no nonsense.
