i bought this today at DICKS and would like some input on this blade, durability and such. i know lots of you have this blade and like it i just want to make sure it was worth the 40 bucks.

If it is made of 440A take it back! If it locks open using the liner it is a throw-away take it back.

For $40 the Leek 1660 is a good value. 440A is fine for an EDC as long as you can sharpen it yourself. And if you have the stainless leek, it is a great Frame-lock.

combatready, nice pick up with your new Leek. Do a search on the Leek, I think you will find it may be the most thought of pattern in the Kershaw line up. Enjoy.

sog, you may look to ease off with your unconstructiveness, and start to show a bit more respect when posting. If you're not a fan of 440A or liner locks (although this version is a frame lock) that’s cool, but when you start shouting out "throw away" comments in regards to the Leek, you put yourself in a such a light that your fellow members won't take you seriously...at all.

I used to own a Leek and was sorely dissapointed. I made the mistake of buying for something like 60 bucks. If you can, return it and get something better.

Great ergonomics and the blade can get very sharp. It requires that you know how to sharpen it. If you get a Sharpmaker and keep it touched up, you'll love it. It's very easy to carry and opens slickly with the little lever on top. If it's a frame lock, it locks up well. The stainless versions get fingerprints on them that will easily wipe off and they are a little slick to hold on to when new.

You should have kept your comments to yourself.
