Nice thing about William henry knives, is they are high but they are not out of this world high, especilly for a knife of their calibur, they are not "custom" knives as in there is only on of each but they far surpass most knife companies in their quality and workmanship and have that "custom" knife look and feel. I like this one so much I hate to use it, :( but whats the fun of having something if you don't use it. This is the 1st Boron coated knife I have bought and it will be interesting to see how the finish holds up.

That's a sweet looking knife, but they forgot to put a second thumbstud on it...

I will never understand putting just one thumbstud on a knife and completely excluding lefties, but that's how it goes sometimes.

I still like the knife though, so you can put my name down on the "pass around" list :D

T. Erdelyi - Ah you got the even higher $$ one. Thats the only pearl handled knife I have ever seen that I like I usually think they are cheap looking I think it comes from the old toy cap pistols with the "pearl" handles or somthing, But that one of yours defies my thinking, very impressive how WH got the pearl and the steel on the handles to match up so smoothly. I had been wanting a carbon fiber knife and this one is the one that beat out the others I have looked at even benchmade's. Wish mine had come with the leather sheath like your Pearl one does though.
( I see you use Paint Shop Pro also, I know those flames and skulls ! )

mikemck - Looking at this knife Im thinking that this thumbstud may be made to be reversable, looks like it to me. T. Erdelyi take yours apart and see :).

And Im thinking this knife is not going to be a pass arounder hehe, I don't think it's going to leave my site anytime soon.

That's the model line that started me on William and Henry. I now carry a T12CF and it is one of the nicest Production knives I have ever carried. I am absolutely impressed!!!!

Its funny, i started a thread the other day, asking if people thought a WH knife was as good as some of the more expensive custom knives. A lot of people seem to be very happy with their WH's. The other day, i saw a limited Ed. WH, a small, pearl handled Kestral, but it had a Mike Norris damascus blade, and a MOP inlay in the stud, small, but NICE.

I own and love the pricier customs, but these WH knives do have the look and especially the feel of a good custom. I have looked closely at several WH's and i have never found a flaw, and i have never picked one up that wasnt smooth as silk. The pearl they use is surprisingly high quality, and fit and finish are superb. Theyre a great value. Can you get a nicer knife, sure, but probably at a much higher price. When you decide to spend $600 or more, you start to get into the well made customs that do surpass the WH's quality and beauty, but i cant recall seeing a $200 custom that was the equal of a WH. Unfortunatly, i think i see one in my future. :)

If you want to see some incredible customs, and see where WH does have its limits, go to my gallery page at:

I remember that post your refering too. I looked at the link you have posted and wow. The Gustaffson the 2nd one with the rose colering in its damascus, very sweet looking knife.

That's a really beautiful knife, NGK. WH does a super job of providing near custom-quality knives at somewhat more reasonable prices. It does, IMHO, start to blur the distinction between the customs and productions. The best part of it is that we as knife users/collectors get the best of all worlds.

Best of luck with it.:)

Here's my pride and joy, a Lancet with bone handles, wire and ball sterling bolsters and a saphire thumbstud.

SWEET! Oh man thats a sweet knife, Congrads on being it's owner! ever consider letting me borrow it just let me know :)

I just tried to highlight the W&H. I will add once again that this is my first William Henry and I am absolutely impressed. I find it hard to catagorize these as "production" knives. Pricey, but well worth the investment.........Ira
