Threw a bid in on a auction with two hours left and over ten bidders so I didn't expect to get it but just got an email saying its mine

Don't know much about them, but I figured a NIB discontinued golden made carbon fiber s30v slipit would be cool so I ponied up the $77 and it should be here next week

How do you like yours? Is it more of a show and tell piece with the magnets and all or do you carry and use it?

It's a nice little knife design. The magnets are different, but for in the pocket carry, i cranked down on the pivot so it can't accidently open. Its sharp point is nice and the deep hollow grind is effective. Use the safety choil if you cut something that could defeat the magnet, you won't get cut then. It sharpens readily on the sharpmaker.

I've only handled one, and I couldn't get past the weakness of the magnet in holding it, either way. Hope your example will be firmer in that regard.

Nice find. Not too many made.

The Rare Earth magnets are hard on the magnetic strip on credit cards and hotel keys. Some distance is good.

Thanks for the feedback guys, It should be here Saturday. Nothing like waiting on a spyderco :)

Thanks for the info Sal! I had read while watching/reading reviews that it could be harmful to cell phones but i didn't think about the the magnetic card strips.
