Just bought Buck 655 Nighthawk. Don't like the tactical sheath.

Recently purchased the Buck 655 Nighthawk which is one of Buck's better offerings but I don't like the tactical sheath it comes with. Does anybody have any suggestions as to another more traditional sheath that will fit. (preferably Buck but can be persuaded otherwise)

Depending on how you want to carry it, a leather pouch style would work good for that design. As far as where, basic sheaths can be found pretty easy online. The problem there is because they are not build specifically for the knife so you might have some issues with a tight fit without doing some wet forming. Or you can look in this section for sheath makers. There is a lot of very talented folks here.

SOG Kydex Sheath for SEAL Pup, SEAL Pup Elite, and SEAL Ops (SOGKYDM40) would fit the Nighthawk 655?

Don't really know anything about SOG knives or sheaths. If they're formed to the guard (and not a nylon/insert deal) then I wouldn't think so.

Thanks Kiah, this is one reason I don't like Kiadhex as much as some. No wiggle room. For instance, the best sheath I ever had for my Leatherman Wave was the nylon sheath for the Buck 112.
