Just paid for a grip 551 on a whim- this knife stuff is getting to me. It was too good of a deal- $44 shipped. I can't wait:D

I'm partial to the 555 Mini Griptilian, myself. Isn't the 551 the same model just bigger? (As in, thumb-hole, modified Wharncliffe blade, rather than clip-point or whatever, with thumb stud?)

Sounds like a very good deal! Enjoy your knife -- the Grips are excellent!

551 is drop point with thumbstuds.

I prefer the thumb stud Grips, I found the oval hole of my 555 could be a bit slippery.

I predict that you're going to love it!

And don't forget to post a review once you use it for a while.

I like the 550 better (because of the hole), but all Griptilians are excellent knives. And 44 dollars is a very good price! Where did you order it from?

Okay, I've always thought the 552 was an interesting model and I wondered why no one ever talked about it. That's one that I really want as well.

Way to go! I hope you enjoy it. It is a classic folder in today's knife world.

I wonder why the fixed blade is more than the folder? With no moving parts and less complication it seems like it would be less...

A sheath and more steel?
