Just bought my first Becker - a Magnum Camp. I have some knives similar to the Companion and just like the shape of the MC. Can't wait till it gets here!

Welcome aboard. I purchased my first ones a couple of days ago and I'm already looking at more:eek:

You need one for the kitchen and one for camp. :D
Congrats. Hope you like the BK-5. I do.

I just got my first Becker last weekend, a BK 7. I am already looking to get a BK 9 and one of the BK 5. I love getting new toys and shopping for more. Drives the wife crazy.

Congradulations on the new knife. Not my personal favorite, but I'm a minority on the subject. So I assume maybe I'm missing something here. Post some pics.

I can see having one in camp, looks really functional in a lot of food prep and game processing, but I'm not really into carrying up-swept tips to the field anymore myself. I do think it's really cool that those who do like up-swept tips can get in on the Becker line as well though, so congrats and welcome

it's a good tough knife. find the passaround thread and see what people are doing with it. chopping oak. hardcore :)

Oh I don't doubt that one bit. Looks really well made and solid just like all the other Beckers I've had and used, and I can see a lot of uses for one. I'm just personally more inclined to carry drop points and clip points in the field. As I said though that's just me and I'm glad the people who do like upswept tips, and I know several, can to get into the Becker line too.

My thoughts exactly.
Might not be for me, but glad Ethan made one for everyone who loves them.

I pulled the trigger on the Magnum Camp yesterday. I've wanted one for going on 7 or 8 years but they have been largely unavailable until now. Not my first Becker though, I have Camillus era BK7, BK11 and a Brute. All are great knives.
