So I pulled the trigger the other day and purchased a large sebenza 21. I have not received it yet in the mail but am already anticipating carrying this knive alot. My question is.... since I don't want to lose it I thought a sheath would be the best option. Can someone point me in the direction of someone who makes quality sheaths for sebenzas.

thanks guys

Congrats!!! The Sebenza is an AWESOME knife!!

CRK makes a great leather sheath for the Sebbie.

Congratulations on your first sebenza, more than likely it will not be your last.

Get the sheath CRK makes for the Sebenza. It is designed to fit the large or small sebenza. It will also attach to your belt verticle or horizontal. They come in a dark tan or black. The price is $45 but is built like a tank and worth every penny for your prized sebbie. I posted a pic. The tan one shows what it would look like carrying a large sebenza, while the black one shows what it would look like carrying a small sebenza. All you do it snap it lower, thats it. So you only need One sheath for a large or small. I went to a large flea market today and I carried my sebenza in the sheath. The place is packed every weekend and I dont trust the people incase of pick pockets, so I carry my sebenza in the sheath. The knife fits in the sheath with the clip on easily also, so there is no need to remove it.

great info thanks. Do you personally like having the flap that covers the knife? I saw some sheaths that are open at the top, and the knife stays put because of friction. Obviously the snap is more secure, but have you ever tried a convertible version? for lack of a better description LOL.

Also, is the CRK sheath fairly low profile? Does it dissapear under a t shirt?

The KSF one looks cool, but you can see when you un-snap it, it flops forward and the knife could easily fall out. For my $400 sebenza, I would tolerate nothing less than a sheath CRK designed for it. At the thickest part of the sheath where the flap overlaps the front, it is 1 1/4 thick. This is the same as my buck knife sheath. I carried my large sebenza all day today verticle and you could not tell it was there. I wear longer shirts, so its not like it was sticking out. I just put it on and looked in the mirror and I could not tell it was there until I lifted up my shirt to expost it. I have not carried my sheath horizontal yet, but it would look like the KSF one when worn. I like that I have the option to carry it both ways. You also get the head of the snap to cover the snap not being used, so it looks nice. On the inside of the sheath, there is thin leather covering the back of the snaps so as not to scratch your titanium handle. If I spend $400 on a knife, I want the safest, most secure knife sheath there is to protect my investment. Everything CRK makes is top notch and well thought out, and I would expect nothing less with the sheath. Knifeart.com has the CRK sheath for $42.00, thats $3 less than anyone else. I dont trust anything that is friction fit, eventually it is going to get loose and thats a good way to lose your prized sebenza. I like the security of the flap to hold it in place just incase it does un-snap.

I was initially worried about that, but what I found is that the quality snaps and the way it fits on my belt means it doesn't come open or lose my knife.

It is a very innovative design--not for everyone--but a good design none the less.
