Very glad to find a great deal on a used Fairly knife. I figured this was the best place to find help on id and possible steel used. It was advertised as a neck knife and possibly d2 and That's all I know about it. Supposedly the handle is translucent micarta ? Any help appreciated friends...

Nice score! Daniel is amazing about getting back to questions I'm sure you'll get an answer in the morning.

That's a nice knife! I don't see many of Daniels knives on the secondary market. Guess that's a good thing :)

Thanks guys!

That's correct, it is...

Model - Bushcraft Knife

1084fg steel - Aldo's well known "souped up" high carbon steel with vanadium

Jade G10 - translucent green

Titanium Pin - the center pin is solid Titanium, a rarely seen feature on my knives!

The 1084fg has great all around characteristics and with such fine grain can get extremely sharp.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I almost never seen any of my knives on the secondary market.

Mr.Boone, enjoy the knife!

I have only seen one... and I bought it!:D
MrBoone, Congratulations on your first DFK! Also, welcome to the DFK sub forum.

Thanks flatblackcapo for the warm welcome.

MrBoone, I'm a new comer to the forums and while I've collected for a while I never really reached out, but this is a small and from what I've seen really friendly and informative community. Welcome!
