Did I cheat on my Spydies? I am new to knives, and fell in love with the Spyderco brand at first site. Is it ok if my new knife plays with my Spyderco's? Will they get along alright? Why do I feel so guilty? Sorry Sal! lol

(its a kershaw cryo, just looks too cool for school for the price)

You started out right, nothing wrong with checking new stuff out too. Spyderco and Cold Steel are my thing nowadays, I like em'.

There's nothing wrong with certain brands, but it's really nice to try out multiple companies. When I first started collecting I wanted to try a new brand with every purchase.

Kershaw is a great knife company, just like Spyderco. You made a great purchase and I'm sure you will enjoy the Cryo. Never feel like you have to be loyal to a company, even if you desire goods/services from another. That competition for your dollar brings forward great designs and innovation. Instead of second-guessing yourself, just pat yourself on the shoulder and know that you are helping the industry in the long run. ;)

Nah, you didn't cheat on us Spyderco people!! It's good to try out new things!

Why are you posting this in the Spyderco forum? You bought a Kershaw, so it should go in General right? Posting about Brand A in Brand B's subforum is kinda of poor form don't you think?

I like both companies. To "feel" better about your purchase look at some of the posts that Thomas has made here in BF. He is a real class act. I'm like you and have more Spydies than anything else, but I'll also buy knives that Thomas is associated with.

I own more Spydercos than any other brand, but I have some Kershaws and they make some great stuff. It is good to branch out cautiously so you develop a broader perspective. It is wonderful that we are not limited to one brand, type, or style of knife and can (within certain constraints) purchase what we prefer to own.

i actually have a few spydercos and just got my first benchmade and first kershaw today. im actually happy i settled for something different. spyderco is still my hands down favorite but these give a completely different in-hand feeling

If your thumb gets a blister you just have to have a good plan B. Here are some of my Spydie's amigos!
