What is recommended for lubrication? I have a "resilience", and so far love it!

If you change the pocket clip, do you loctite the torx screws? Which loctite?

Thanks in advance.

lube is up to personal preference, i use nano oil, there are different viscosity's, i use the 10 weight and if your going to use loctite use the blue loctite and you'll be able to loosen them if you need to.

For loctite I use blue for pivots and purple on most smaller screw since they dont need much to hold them. For lubricant I use a teflon infused oil and it works great.

I don't hear much about it on here, but I use White Lightning's wax based lubes (originally for bike chains), and it works well for me. I don't know if it's endorsed by any of the knife companies.

If you loctite then use the Blue lik Jalcon said. There is ton of lubrication options. Tuff Glide if you want a good one for knives. Rem Oil is a inexpensive route to go to for getting started.

If you plan on using your knife for food prep you should either use a FDA approved food safe lube, I use a brand called Super Lube, or you can use mineral oil. Even if you don't plan on it if there is even a chance you'll slice an uncut pizza or spread PB&J you should be prepared, you don't want to ingest some synthetic/petrol based oil.

Thanks everyone, I did use my knife tonight to slice some onions and such. (for a salad) I'm amazed at the edge this knife takes! I have lots of other knives, (Sebenza, customs (fixed blades) Benchmade, on and on, but for an inexpensive folder, this knife is fantastic. Where does one get "nano oil" ?

I use mobil I (5W10) on my firearms, but since I do sometime use this knife for food prep, I'd like to keep it safe. Thanks again!

I'm not sure if nano oil is your best choice if you are using the knife for food prep.

I'd go with mineral oil from the grocery store. I've seen wipes and bottles. You don't want to injest Nano Oil.

Again the brand Super Lube has USDA/FDA approved food safe lubes that work excelent, both food safe synthetic greases and liquid oils. I personally use the food safe synthetic grease with PTFE but the oil would work equally as well and is easier to apply.

Tho yes mineral oil works fine to and is easy to find jut about anywhere that sells food or even beauty supplies.

Also just a suggestion on the topic of firearm lube/oil- I used Mobile 1 straight 30 weight for years and was never dissapointed but then I heard of M-Pro 7 (which is avaliable at Walmart) and never looked back. If you write the company they'll send you a sample along with their gun cleaner in a little pack so you can try it out without spending any money.
