Hey all, just wanted to share this with some enthusiasts. I just bought my first Spydie. I've been admiring them for some time now but just never pulled the trigger. Finally did and I bought the Zulu. I'm a big fan of Jens Anso designs and I'm thrilled with this one. I've never seen a blade quite like this.

Not only is this my first Spydie, its my first sort of "mid-range" knife as well, or at least its the nicest one I've owned. I can't wait to give it a work out and cut up some boxes. I get the feeling this could be a very dangerous thing for me, I can see myself getting a couple more... I don't think my wallet is going to enjoy it as much as I will :D

Your wallet is definitely going to hate you now! Welcome to the forum, look around and have fun!

A quality Spyderco Hawkbill should be your next step and make it a Spyderedged model. Also you really need a conventional blade Spyder as well. Keep your eyes out for either ZDP-189 Delica or Endura. Or if you want to go up the food chain check out the Paramilitary and Military models>> those are 2 models you simply can't go wrong with.

But for a companion blade you can't beat a Spyderedged Hawkbill.

Welcome to Spyderco knives! That is a great first purchase. I really like the design of the Zulu, and the fact that they are now discontinued its a good grab.
