Just bought myself a strider

Just bought myself a strider GB and I noticed that the thumb studs weren't screwed on tightly. Not a big deal, I'm just wondering if this is normal since I just bought the knife brand new.

Anyway, I plan to apply Loc Tite when I buy some tomorrow.

Anybody else have this problem?

To be perfectly frank, this is not a knock on the knife. I love my strider. Just an honest question.

Like I said, it's an easy problem to solve, I'm just wondering if the knives really come from the makers with this and then they just let us tighten them as needed.

Thanks for all the replies! Take care, everybody!

Well congrads on the new knife. I've personally only held a gb before and it seemed fine. I imagine it will be a quick fix and and you'll be good to go. -Good luck and enjoy your new kniife

I had the same thing on a new RC. Send it back and have the Striderguys tighten it for ya or get a replacement from the vendor. I personally would ask if I had to pay return shipping since it's new but YMMV. (I was told that they intentially left some loose because so many people were putting TAD aftermarket studs on them. I don't know as I believe that but that's what I was told. )

While yr at it get some TAD aftermarket tritium studs , makes the thing a lot easier to locate in a strange place .

Its just a fluke. Tighten her up and go. Its not a biggy. I just bought me a PT myself. Strider has a super warranty. Perhaps tops in the industry. Use that crap out of it.

What are your feeling about? I edc one since one and an half year. I have removed the clip and bored the G10 scale from the clip pin hole to set a lanyard. Perfect for me.
