This looked authentic, so I bought it on Ebay. What do you guys think? Haven't received it yet, so this is the pic from Ebay.

Thanks guys (and gal),

Looks like a tin chirra blade, lovely scrollwork bands and finely crafted cho. A lovely knife, definitely not tourist quality but rather originally made for an owner of high social status.

very nice! sweet double fuller. (at a good price, too...)

My favorite part is where it says "smiley face with a dot above it" while that is clearly a long boat over a rising moon...

Is it missing one of the tools?

What do you guys think about this one?

Don't know about you, but I'm feeling some major jealousy pangs...

Yow Pen, I don't know if it's authentic, but I like it alot!! Give me a 18" WWII with that pointy tip, horn handle and steel furniture, and I'll be set for anything that life can throw at me...

the handle looks (though it's hard to tell in the small photo) a bit like the rhino-horn handle from one of JP's kukris

It's purty, Pen, but I'm much more attractred to things intended for use...Sad that non tourist E-neps seem unavailable. Inlay work looks like it could be very nice though.

What's the deal with the bolster/guard??

Seller also has this related piece:

Iaxe6x.jpg

says "hand-forged stainless steel"---What steel could this be?

and..."ALL THOUGH THE AXE IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL, IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE."

Hmmm...yeah, what keeps the bit attached to the handle???

If I'm gonna be jealous, think it will be over ferg's piece.:)

Buyer may have gotten a good price though???
