Today I went into the local knife store and bought Spyderco Military, CRKT My Tighe, and last but not least I ordered a Al Mar SERE 2000. I think I may have gone a little over board.

No such thing as overboard. Congradulations on your new purchase don't forget to take pics. I would love to see those knives side by side. Also, welcome to Blade Forums.

That's okay, now tell us about that CRKT. Its the only thing in their catalog that interests me. Did you get the assisted or unassisted??

I think the My Tighe with carbon fiber and a better blade steel would be awesome...but then again you could just buy one of his customs.

Boy, you don't go halves, do ya.

Congrats.

The Sere and the Military have great reputations, but how does the My Tighe stack up?

Cheap, steel equivalent to AUS-6 iirc, and zytel overlays. Not that great, imo :barf:

Good buch of knives. I just got a military and like it alot. Had a sere and didn't like it, but a lot of people do. I held one of those my tighes and it feels really good in the hand. Not a big fan of crkt, but that's one of their best.
You didn't go over board. -It feels good to have knives.

Tighe looks like something i might wanna check out, Sere looks like it has a nice look ride clip....hhmmm...

It'd be great if someone could post a quick review of the CRKT My Tighe.
It seems that a lot of peoples attention have recently been directed to CRKT due to this knife. I would also like to see a review on this knife. Also pics in hand. Maybe it will be one of the only good knives that CRKT makes. What has happened to this company?

The My Tighe I bought had the assisted opening. Unfortunately when I showed it to my dad this afternoon he really liked it so I went ahead and let him have it.

Your father raised you well.

Ahh, nothing wrong with letting your dad have a knife. Just get him to tell you how it works out.
