So at an auction, I picked up a kmg with a 2 horse 3 phase and a vfd. It also had 4 tooling arms with a small wheel, a 2 1/2” wheel, a flat platen and a couple of rests. It also came with about $4-500 worth of new belts. My bid was $700 but with the fees and tax it came to just over $800. Well worth it in my opinion.

Always read about these kinds of deals but never been on the right end of one lol. Congrats on the haul, that’s one you won’t soon forget!!

Good score!
Been on that side of the deal a couple of times; once on a lawn mower and once on a Wilson Combat pistol.
Still have both and it still makes me chuckle.

Way to go!!! It always tastes soooooo much better when you get a screaming deal. Had a few of those. Best was a custom made 7 piece drum set worth $3500 for $300 at an auction. I was ready to bid up to $2000 on it and nobody else bid.

In 86 there was a big storm so my buddy (24 yrs old) went into an auction by the docks in Vancouver to get warm. He put in a bid of $100 on a couple pallets of lumber and nobody else bid. Turned out he had bid on an entire compound of lumber....136 pallets to be exact. Had 5 days to get them off the yard! He got to know a bunch of the local mills really fast and rented a run down barn on a dairy farm. Kept 30 pallets to sell to general public and sold the rest to mills/stores/wholesalers. 35 years later his career has been buying the end runs of lumber from mills and selling to the public from the barn.

My Dad always said two things. Nobody likes a bragger! But it ain't bragging if you can back it up! Great find.
