You are right about the phone number. I think the picture was taken in Australia, New Zealand or South Africa. They have phone numbers tructured like that. I was going to add the UK to the list but it looks too sunny. The windshield wipers and steering wheels are on the "wrong side". The Aussies have a pretty racy sense of humor and would actually use advertisements like that.

I wont be there again this year. Truthfully we had domestic disputes over the "cost" of Blade compared to the "take home" after expenses.

It seems that some people make out great financially there but Im not one of them. There are so many makers with great knives at Blade that its hard to stand out. I do better at smaller shows it seems.

You need to take a West Coast vacation. How about Blade West? Come on out!

I know what you mean, it can end up a lot of money for that gig., the only reason I may go to blade this year is to sit the table/booth with a manufacture that asked to mass producing one of my knives, to help promote it's introduction, to meet the press sort of thing, they haven't let me know if they want me there or not yet.. we'll see..

Blade West sounds good but, this year my time will be taxed pretty hard.
maybe next year and we'll get together there..:thumbup:

Ray will be in Portland too. He is one of the demonstrators there.

Is the knive they are producing off the proto of that cool battle blade you sent to the military?
 
Hey Dan, I'll be at Blade again this year so if you are there make sure you drop by and see me. I'll be the old bald guy with the beard. I'd better get my flight set up. I'm thinking this maybe my last time doing this show. Sales were down 50% for me from the year before. I did little better than break even so I've got to say it was a good show for me but its just to darn much money to just break even. You need to head west and stop when your in Gods Country.

yes on heading west , I have a buddy in Oregon that I have to make a point to see some day soon too.. and a couple old customers in Nevada I need to see some day , I really need to choreograph a good trip west.:)
