In my quest to downsize I considered this as the next GAW, but I JUST CAN'T DO IT.

I won this knife in a Tilley Knife GAW last summer. I believe it to be a frankenknife built from one or more knives. The main blade is a chopped down spear with the CK Co tang stamped used by Colonial in the 1930s. I believe the delrin scales were once larger and on another knife newer than the main blade. The secondary blade is a cap lifter. The spear point takes a keen edge.

After sharpening it in anticipating giving it away, I moved it to the keeper bag, and I'm now deciding what other knife to move from the keeper bag into the GAW bag. This knife is just too cool for me to give away.

Leghog...it might be a franken knife but its a fine one. Glad you are keeping it. Some one took the effort to keep the parts alive and it is still a scout, with having that bottle opener. good decision !!!

Man i would love to find one of those sure is a beautiful find leghog. Im a huge scout and caplifter fan ie beer scouts and radio jacks i would love to have one like that because of the shield and it being bolstered on both ends

Hey man, remember theyre YOUR knives. YOU decide what to keep bro. This whole downsizing thing is incredibly ambitous and generous of you. I dont blame you for keeping a few more than you mean to.

Well said and I completely agree.

Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to the knives that we bond with.
Coolness is where your heart finds it.

Love that huge scout text, a keeper for sure!

For sure! It doesnt matter where its from, who did it or what bunch of misfit garbage knives it may have been made out of, if it makes even the SLIGHTEST connection with you and will be of any use then its a keeper and worth the spot in your stash of keepers. Sounds like its my kinda knife...tossed together by someone who wanted all those things in one package and looks like a well done job at that. Keep it, use it and carry on its legacy!
