Hi there,

I purchased a knife (which I was not familiar with) and I probably paid $50 more than I should have :(

It was my own impetuousness that led to it. A rush of blood and not enough restraint..

Another reminder to me to ALWAYS research prices before I buy..

Completely my fault.

:(

I've done this a few times.
Also ended up with a fully serrated, stainless steel handle delica because of an impulse buy.

It was a Busse swamp rat rodent.

Plenty of info here about them. I just did not do my research... :(

I did that on a Spyderco Citadel once, BladeHQ had it for $30 cheaper. I felt bad for a week

It happens. You felt that is was worth it at the time otherwise you wouldn't have bought it. In the end you still have a Busse so it's all good

If you are on this forum I would say $50 isn't going to make much difference in your life. Busse make great knives, I'm sure it will serve you way better than anything else you could have bought with the $50.

The only way I'd be ashamed of that is that if I bought it from LK.

I'd be happy if my impulse buys only cost me an extra $50... My stupidity has cost me a lot more than that.

Turn dollar into great british pound (double price in dollar) = what I got to pay for american stuff in england lol.

Being british I lack trust in almost any one selling something, its probably a fake, or naff so on top of that gotta opt for renowned sellers and not that amazon or ebay etc which makes the price even higher lol.
why cant the chinese stick to selling horse as cat and shrimp as egg in their resturants and sell not sell fakes of literally everything else global lol. Im not racist but dang...

We havemajor companys selling good selections of blades and each company seems to beat the other on specific makes.
One may sell fallkniven at maybe £80 less than another company but the other will sell extreme ratio at better prices.

I always feel like I've been ripped off when I buy at a local B & M Cigar store that happens to sell knives. They sell at full retail. Then I get over it, and realize that I've been pawing over their knives in the counter, and taking up their time, and I finally hand selected the knife I wanted. Plus, I'm supporting the LOCAL economy. It's all a wash in the end, as I've gotten some really great deals online to balance it all out.

But, there was this one time that a limited Kershaw sold out and was going for over retail online if you could even find it, and I knew there was the one sitting in the counter at the store. I walked in, asked to see it, and said, "I'll take it." at the full $300 retail price, and was happy to spend it.

I've done the "gotta have it now" thing and bought the first one I saw with a buy-it-now price on the bay, and regretted it later, but sometimes immediate gratification is gratifying. :D

Lol this. Probably spent hundreds that I probably didnt need to if I would have waited or bought used instead.

I think we've all done that. My big purchase was a KA-BAR for 35 dollars more then it was worth. I bought it through a re-seller instead of a retailer. I never made that mistake on knives again.
