Was just reading about another member that had his account hacked/stolen by a would be scammer and I'm curious if there is a dedicated protocol or person to contact in such a case? Something members could do as soon as they find out they are locked out of their account to help mitigate any damage before it's done.

More times than not, it seems that the hacked accounts have been discovered by other parties and not the actual account holders. So either someone was actively scammed or saw something suspicious and reported it. When the original account holder figured out what was up, they would generally create a new account and come here to show proof (email/receipt that shows they purchased Gold) that it was actually theirs to get it reactivated.

Assuming you notice you've been hacked, I would suggest making a new account and report the old one ASAP so the threads can be locked and users warned not to deal with the scammer. Then come here to show proof that it's yours so you can get it back.
