By snooping around, I see where Rick Hinderer forum has been closed for about two years ago. Does this mean we shouldn't post anything about his knives? Was there some kind of falling out?

Sloop Sloop
I see lots of posts here about Hinderer knives. Feel free to post away! I don't know why his sub-forum shut down, but I'm sure someone here will let you know.

Some manufacturers and makers will have their subforum closed for various reasons. I believe it costs them money to keep it open, and there is the additional manpower / time required to respond to questions on the subforum. Kershaw is another manufacturer that, for a variety of reasons, no longer has a subforum here.

Strange that Kershaw closed down their subforum because they have reps every where! Always interacting with the communities through a lot of different mediums. There's even a guy who pops in to a niche little IRC channel quite often to chat shit with us.

There is an unofficial Hinderer thread here--Let's see some Hinderer action--which was started by @marcus52AR a little over a year ago. It's mainly a picture thread that has a pretty fair amount of discussion. @whitty from USA Made Blade--a registered BF Dealer--is a frequent contributor, a big Hinderer guy himself, and can provide a lot of helpful info there.

Hinderer left in part because certain individuals were making accusations, along with asking how much they outsourced and how much of their knife is made in house. Damn can't believe that was 2 years ago attitude already.
