I am just curious to find out how many Emerson owners are current or ex military or LEO. I am a former Armorer, having served in the Canadian Army.

I know there is a CQC 6 in Afghanistan at this moment-- in my bud's pocket. I know of a few other current and former military that favor Emerson also, as do I. Former USN - Emerson since '99.

My USAF time predated Emerson knives. I have a few now: Raven, Commander, La Griffe, CQC-12. The 12 is a beast.

Edit to add: I got a Benchmade Emerson 975 just before EKI started up their own operation.

Couldn't afford one his customs originally, but got & have a '99 CQC-7. Have had a # of Emersons in between, but only have the mentioned 7 & a CQC-12 at the moment.

It is good to see forces (leo) members with an 'Emerson' history. I have a feeling there are many out there.

I carried Emerson folders from time to time when I was active duty Army (retired as of Jan 2011) but I was a knife guy and did'nt really see many guys with Emersons.

I've owned several different Emersons, I am an ex-LEO and Marine. I only wish I had all the Emersons I used to have.

Ex-LEO here and carried an Emerson Commander and CQC-8 for about 8yrs on the job. Been an Emerson user off and on for most of my life actually, starting way back with a CQC-6 my dad bought me, and the old Benchmade 970/975. Did some contractor work as a driver, carried an Emerson Commander there too. At the height of my collecting back in about 2005, I had a combined total of 32 Emerson Knives, both custom and production. Kids, broken vehicles, life, etc etc, sadly I sold off most of them and only have a few left now. Wish I coulda/woulda kept them, but that's how it goes. Here's a couple pics of my beat to hell 2000 Vintage Commander that has a lot of miles on it. I beat this one till it literally fell apart on several occasions. Emerson fixed it up though, including all new screws, new liner lock, etc. Still going strong.

Active duty army engineer officer currently in Afghanistan, the emerson commander is clipped to my right pocket when I leave the wire.

Canadian Border services Officer, I carry a psark and commander at work but also have the -13, A-100, kerambit and persian.
wish listing a super -8 and CQC-7b and gypsy jack

I carried the Commander while in the AF now carry it on the streets as LEO Its served me well. I've tried other brands but keep coming back to Emerson.

Good to hear from you, brothers! There is still room for more on this thread and it is good to see how many have and are serving.
