I finally got some payback on a guy who used to run my career - a sad sociologist, who failed at math, and made a living as a professional bleeding heart liberal and meeting moderator.
As director of a public policy program in a large private university in St. Louis, he once railed against the private ownership of guns with the mantra: "Well, when is the last time you heard of a drive-by knifing?" Of course, he was later promoted to Dean. He became a wealthy man without having to do a lot.
Now, more than ten years later, he's on the march against knife carry laws in Missouri state court. In the mean time, I moved on to CT and then GA, and became an administrator above his level. But, when I heard of this controversy, I just had to add my voice. My testimony: "Well, when is the last time you heard of a drive-by knifing?"
