Already posted on the HI forum but I thought I'd share my joy with the forumites at large. Picked up a blem HI 18.5" WWII last week. Unlce Bill Martino is a pleasure to deal with. If I didn't know it was a blem I wouldn't have immediately noticed the tiny (and I mean TINY) cosmetic imperfections. If I had paid the full $145 for it I would have still been pleased with it. But $95 brought it to my door three days after I ordered it. The only thing more impressive than Uncle Bill's service is the knife itself. A foot and a half long, a little shy of two pounds and 3/8" thick. Beautiful fit and finish. Hard to believe it started life out as a truck spring. This weekend I got to see what it could do. It went through old fence planks, posts, a 2X8 and some old mop/broom handles (one of them aluminum). The only thing that slowed it down was the 2X8. If you have one you know what I mean. If you don't you should seriously give one a try. There's a khuk of every size for every occasion. And you couldn't ask to do business with a better man than Uncle Bill. I will definitely be getting more in the future. Thanks for letting me gush over my new girl.
