So I've had my large sebenza now for a week and decided to take it apart and stuff. Takin it apart was the easy part. Putting it back together took some thought. It wasn't nnecessarily complex, but iit was moreso keeping parts where they belong and not pinching the washers as I've read here a lot. Got
it all back together and it seems much smoother than it came to me as. I also had no issues tightening down all the screws, it's still as smooth as ever. Sharpened it up too, the factory edge was ok, but much ssharper now :-)

For me, part of the enjoyment of Chris Reeve Knives is in taking good care of them including the disassembly for periodic cleaning.
Reassembly gets easier with practice but it sounds like you're doing everything right.
As many of the Forum members here have mentioned elsewhere the Chris Reeve Florinated Grease helps alot in keeping everything smooth and working easily.
I have found nothing better for my Sebenzas.

I bought a tube of it along with my knife. It's very nice stuff. I may look for a tube of florinated grease for my other knives as well.

You are definetly on the right path. Good thinking on getting the grease along with the knife.
Have you thought about what your next Chris Reeve Knife will be.......?? Can't stop now! :D

I haven't really had time to use the knife in prolonged use, so i don't know what path i want to go. I do like the knife a lot though! I think this will be one that will be in my pocket until the blade is the size of a toothpick :-).

Thats funny I was thinking the same thing earlier, I have an 06 gsxr 600 it looks like we have similar taste

My bike (my first bike) was a 1982 Suzuki GS750E. Air cooled, the "X" is water cooled. But to get back on topic, i just got a Streamlight stylus pro that i will be carrying along with it.

It is really great stuff. I have re-lubed quite a few of my framelock and linerlock knives with it, and really like how smooth it is. Another benefit is that unlike some other lubes I've tried it doesn't seem to pick up lint, dirt and grit as readily.
