I haven't been here in a while (or online at all for that matter) so I just thought that I'd stop in and see what was going on around here. Sorry if I don't post responses to other messages, but I'm pressed for time and I'm at work by myself. Also my home computer doesn't work anymore. :(

I've been really sick over the past couple of months and had to miss a lot of work. I think I'm finally getting better though. (The CAT scan looked into my head and found nothing. ;) )

Here's some fun "knife grinder" news for you: My dad cut his hand open on a food processor blade two days ago. He had to get over 20 stitches and can't use his right hand for anything. Fortunately he is left handed. And fortunately it happened while I was not here so I missed out on all the blood and gore, although unfortunately I was home sick myself. Anyway, just thought I'd let you all feel a little better about your own lives, if that helps!

Missed you all,
~ashes

I'm sorry to hear about all the troubles. I hope his hand heals up quick and clean. That CAT scan couldn't have been very good if it found NOTHING iin there!

Stop by more often. We will do our best to distract you.

Ashes...So when are you coming to Aberdeen to visit me?.:).

Agreed here , your input is always valued on all things sharp, and otherwise. Take care of #1 (that being you) at all times. Heal fast and well!

Happy Healing!

Good to see your familiar name on my screen once again!

Take care...you're in our thoughts and prayers.

Cat's usually can't find anything that isn't filled with catnip or fish bits... better have an X-ray or something.

Glad to hear you're feeling better and that there's nothing wrong with your cat scan.

What's wrong with your computer? A broken computer shouldn't keep you off line and away from your fellow forumites. Let us know how we can help out.

We might not be able to help much with your health (just offer stoopid advice) but some of us are pretty good at scrounging parts and assembling them into computers. What do you need? We can probably scrounge a whole computer from scratch if necessary, but if there's anything left of your old computer that'll help.

Ashes,

I was thinking about you just last week and wondering how you were doing, since we lost contact with you. I'm very glad to hear you're on the mend. I hope we can help fix/rebuild your PC so you can stay in touch. Most of the time, you had a lot of really positive input. We ALL have our other days!! Stay well, and stay in touch!

Ken

Hiya Ashes, it's nice to see you post. Best wishes to you and your Dad, I'll send some positive vibes your way.

Ashes Here's a "Get Well Cyber Rose" for you

Well at least it's supposed to look like a rose. :D

Hey Ashes! You have been missed!

Please post a pic of you-know-what. :D

Hope you are feeling better.

Sorry for not responding to you guys sooner. Thank you all for the nice welcome, and especially for offering to fix my computer. :) Unfortunately, there's not much left of it after I finished smashing my hard drive with a hammer and all... There really wasn't much left even if I hadn't. It's already in the dumpster at work. Actually, I think it was taken away last week when the garbage guy came. I'm now left with a monitor, keyboard and mouse... so I guess I can just kind of stare at it and pretend I have a computer. I did, however, spend a good hour or so painting my hammer afterward. I now have the prettiest hammer in PA, I'm pretty sure. I need some new hobbies, huh? ;) You should see my tape measure... Screwdrivers are next on my list. Tool companies are just not creative enough.

I'll try to be more in touch and more helpful when I have the time. I have a little time today, so I want to go around and read up on what's going on around here!
