Got this one completed today for shipment to Florida tomorrow. 13 inch blade, clay hardened, and beautifully finished. It's called the "Spade Bowie". Wickett & Craig, with Alligator inlay and overlays. Notched mouth to fit that large S guard.

Hi Paul
This is a little different, the area above and below the spade inlay, is that stamp textured or a separate layer of leather?

If textured (not sure that is the right term) That is incredibly seamless and amazing.

Mark, it is stamped with a pebble grain tool I got from Bob Beard in a set of three. (quite pricey). There are now similar tools at many of the vendors at MUCH lower prices. It does produce a seamless effect even over a very large area, but does take a little practice to get there.

Tandy/LF has a couple of very similar tools (M882 M884) at $7.99 each which is substantially less than the $120 for a set of four from Beard. The quality of the tools is naturally much different, but the end result to the untrained eye is not that much different.

That is just STUPID. I love it.

The detail I like the most is where the Ace nearly touches the border - and you did not try to sneak the tool in there - you left it natural. Awesome touch!

I am always amazed by well done inlays and good tooling. Well done sir - well done.

Thanks for the tool #s Paul, haven't done any stamping yet but I just purchased a craftool # x501 basket weave tool for my first stab at it.

Looks great as always Paul! I got 13 more sheaths to make and all my knives are completed for Blade. See you in Hotlanta!!!
God Bless!!!

Great sheath Paul. Very precise spade in the center. Your control of all your cuts is something to aspire to.
