Here's another one I just did for a fellow forum member. The blade is 5160 steel, 9 1/2" long, koa handle, mild steel fittings. Thanks for looking!

Another great job, Ray.........screams classic 'Bowie' without doubt.

Thanks guys for the kind words. I really appreciate it. Russ Andrews and John White, I really admire your work so your comments are especially encouraging. :)

A couple more detail shots!

I really like the overall profile, that handle shape is nice. Really clean overall.

Ray - this is very reminicent of one of yours that I bought from a fellow forumite a while back. The one that I have has a bloodwood handle and I have to say is the most elegant knife that I own. Love your work - every one I see looks related to its brothers. Money is a bit short right now - keep putting them up on the sale forum, I will be back in the saddle shortly.

Yes, clean and crisp as always Ray. Gorgeous work. Dare I say it reminds me a bit of a D.E. HENRY bowie? Yes I do. :)

I was thinking the exact same thing. This one looks so..... precise.

I've Been Checking Out Ray's Bowie Knives Since I First Became A Member Of B.F.'s in 2004.It's Been Really Cool Watching Him Grow And Refine His Skill & Style. This One Reminds Me Of A More Effective/Usable Version Of A C.S. Laredo Bowie.
Keep Up The Great Work Ray-IMHO You Haven't Made A Bowie Yet,That I Haven't Liked. So Keep On Rockin The Bowie World Bro,& Sooner Or Later 1 Or 2 Of Yer Bowies/Fighters Will End Up In My Collection-God Willin' & The River Don't Rise.

Thanks again guys. I just looked up D.E. Henry's bowies and that's what I think of when I think classic bowie.
Buddy S., My influence for this was Cold Steel but it was the Natchez bowie. I really like the profile of that knife. I don't cary much for their Laredo bowie. I don't do them very often but I really enjoy making bowies.

You're Right Ray-Now That I'ved Compared The Two C.S. Bowies I See The Nathez Profile In It More.I Had Matt Lamey Go Over My Laredo & It's A Whole Different Animal Now.But Given The Choice I Definately Would Pick The Natchez Over An Out -Of-The-Box Laredo Any Day Of The Week. Thanks For The Clarification,I Also See The D.E Henry Style Too-Good Call Wulf.
