as you can see it's a 25 anniversary gift from a lady to her Hubbie

Nice to see that they're still going after 25 years ! Is that the true color of the mastadon ? I though it would it would look more yellowish like ivory.Interesting contrast between the matt blade and polished brass.

Robert The Ivory is a little more on the Yellowish side in hand
it's 2nd cut and the grain is very nice
a lot of my mastodon I get looks like Elephant ivory and once it ages the yellowing looks very hansom.

Mike I have to make two to do that the trouble is when I throw the 2nd one out I'm starting to think I'm wasting my time by doing it that way..I could be spending the time on another knife for someone else

I put this thing close to my arm after I sharpened it up and it scared the hair right off my arm . so you know what happened when I looked at it close up with a jewelers loop, dang now I don't need a hair cut for at least 6 months now..
