You said we could show are latest creations here now so here are some pictures of the one I finished last night.

I have been wanting to try this style Bowie for a long time and when I visited Bob Hankins he gave me a Abalone shell,so I just had to try.Wish I had the guts too try the engraving on it now and the knowledge to do the gold plating in sections also.Donna posed with this on here way to work so you guys could see the size in a persons hand.
Thanks for looking,
Bruce
Here are the specs:
6 inch forged 5160 blade
Nickel silver guard
Nickel silver handle with shaped piercings and abalone shell inlays

Bruce, I'm always looking forward to see what you have cookin'! Very nice! Your're definitely not afraid to try something new. That looks like another winner!

Trying new things all the time is what makes this more interesting for me.I am not one of those guys that can do the same thing over and over a bunch of times (nothing wrong with that) I just get bored and trying new stuff makes me think and sweat allot (thats dangerous to)
I need to get my JS Judging knives done and quit doing new things all the time, the Blade show is coming soon ya know.
Thanks for the kind words and glad you like it..
Bruce

I never get tired of seeing a nice 'Frisco-style bowie which this knife certainly is. The handle treatment is quite different and, to my eye, quite attractive. I like it lots - thanks for the pics.

Cheers,

Roger

Very much in the style of that Will & Finck knife on the cover of Knifemakers of Old San Francisco. You did a great job.

Wow.
That is yet another level up.
I say go for it and do the engraving...
G'head.
G'wan...
you know you want to
:D

Ebbtide,You are correct:D I really do want to try the engraving,But I also don't want to mess it up  with a goofed up engraving job either;)

Flava The handle was done by pressing two halves then piercing the patterns in each side of the handle. Then silver brazing it together and then adding in the abalone and filled the handle before adding the Blade.
