Bruce,

I sure like it a lot and have my fingers crossed for you and every one else who is testing. I know it takes a lot of dedication to get ready to test for J.S. and M.S. stamps. Looking forward to seeing this one in person in a few days.

Bruce - That is ONE mighty fine looking knife! Love all the N/S and that handle is a knockout! Good luck to you - knock 'em dead!:D

Great job Bruce. Take that great looking model with you and you will be in for sure.Good luck!

Lots of attention to detail there. Very nice, Bruce. Good luck in Atlanta!

That's a beauty Bruce... The knife ain't bad either;) You're going for your Master stamp right? Good luck at the show, though, by the look of that knife you won't need any luck.

Rick

Bruce,

Great job! You shouldn't have any problems at all getting your stamp. Am I the only one that thinks that would make a nice companion to Ebbtide's Tachee bowie? :D

He is either a Troll, a prick, or both.

Probably both.

I thought about this for a while and allmost edited out my post. Instead I'm going to leave it the way it is and add this.

Disrespect always sets me off.

It could be that I've missunderstood the tone of "CriswellJr's" posts, but I would think that any apprentice knifemakers first lesson would be to keep their eyes and ears open, and their mouths shut.

There are a lot of skilled makers that come to these forums and it might be a good idea to learn from them, or just learn, before critiquing them.

And for Bruce Evans, that is a magnificent Bowie and I wish you luck in the testing for your Journeyman stamp.

K.

Back from the show,Got the JS Stamp..Hey he is correct about the Blade finish,I need a lot more work in that department before I go for Master....We need some honest and open critiquing here so Guys like me can keep bettering ourselves instead of thinking that we have nailed it all the time.
Thanks for standing up for me though,I really apriceate it.
Bruce

I saw the blade "in person" and it was awesome. I'm sure it's not perfect - nothing ever is - but whatever defect there was, I couldn't see. The pick isn't detailed enough to pass any judgement other than on the overall design.

I recognized the person behind the table before I recognize the knives though - and I'm not talking about the smith...

The knife looks great up close and in person. Congratulations, Bruce!

Bruce, congratulations and it was great finally getting the chance to meet you!
