I liked the one I did for my sister in laws grad present so much I thought I better do one for me. Very similar with a few differences.

-3/32" CPM S60v blade measuring 3" from front of bolster.
-hand rubbed 600 grit finish
-416SS bolsters and 4 -3/32" SS pins
-OAL is 6.5"
-stabilized macassar ebony full tang handle
-heat treated by Paul Bos to HRC 60
-shaving sharp as usual

Is this steel ever a @&%#er to work with but I like the edge holding results.

I think it's time for a better camera. 2.0 megapixel is toooooo low for this but you get the idea. Wish I could show a little more detail though. Sorry for the reflections. Need to make a photo box.

Now for the sheath... :barf:

That,s a really "sharp" design. I really liked the "in law" model.

Thanks, I'm thinking about making a set of ten to sell but I haven't decided if I'm going with this design or one other that I designed a while back. :D

I like the arch in the spine. You going to carry this one alot? I cant help but carry one of mine or I feel naked :)

Very cool!!!! That is definitely a design you should do more of.

Brian,
ya I plan on carrying this one. I just have to make a sheath :barf: for it first. I'm the same. I need a knife on me at all times. It seems that everytime I forget to wear it I find myself reaching for it at some point during the day. I also like to have one so I can show people what I do. Back to work at the steel plant tomorrow :grumpy: . I sure hope someday I can do this full time....Funny thing is making knives is way more exhausting than my job but then again it's way more fulfilling...

Thanks for the compliment! I plan on doing my first numbered set of ten to sell and this design is definetly being considered. Each one will be unique (steel, handle, pins, etc.) though the perimeter will be pretty much the same. If I am able to sell those I will definately make more. It will be a while though. I need to order some more steel from the States first so I can get started. :D

sheaths slow me down too! Here is one for my EDC I just finished. Look forward to seeing your sheath too ;)

Nice package.......lol.....I mean the knife and sheath. Love the design of the knife. Looks real comfy.

I'd like to cary one of my knives daily too, but I really don't want to scare people or get in trouble with the law so I just cary my spyderco. I only make fixed blades and I don't know if it will be a problem. Maybe if I make a really small one?

I know what you mean. I have made a few that are around 5 1/2" to 6 1/2" OAL. I usually wear my shirts "out" though and people don't seem to notice which is convenient for me. It also depends on the situation and were I am. I think some discretion is necessary and a folder is more appropriate at times. However measure a folders OAL when open.....

Mike Very nice!! You could always send to Oz
I love small FB pocket knives
Discretion is always a factor I reckon this 1 would be okay it's more a gentleman style (I think).

Maybe a full flap sheath or You could always go pocket sheath. I've made a few for mine as I like a snug sheath. I made a flap pouch for my folders as have some med sized 1's. As most of my F B's are 5 OAL they fit sheath & all in to belt pouch. I used velcro on the flap to be adjustable.

Very nice. It really has a great organic look to it, would love to hold it in my hand!!
I hope that you do get a chance to make more of them, and you might even have more demand thatn you want!!

Keep them coming..............
