Howdy folks,
This is the first knife I've made with ironwood. I like it. :)
This is also the first hollow ground blade that I've handrubbed. It was a little bit of a pain until I got used to it. I think it was worth it though.
Any comments are welcome,

Phillip

Phillip, Absolutly Perfect. I love the flow of the wood matching the contour of the blade. Super Job.

That is an absolutely stunning fighter. Can you please tell us a bit about it? Stuff like specs, what kind of steel, etc. Is it pounded, or stock removal? You know, all the stuff we love to know about a knife.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. :)

It was forged to shape from 1.250" diameter round O1 steel, but the bevels were ground in.
The blade is 9" long, overall 14.5" 1.5" wide, a tad over 3/16" thick.
The guard and pin are nickel silver, spacers are nickel silver and black paper micarta.

Nice and clean and what a finish. Looks like a lot of thought and effort went into all of it and I like it a lot.

Phillip,
Beautifully figured Ironwood and I really dig the handle shape and guard.
Awesome grinds,very  fighter!

My first thought when I saw that knife was WOW!!! I love EVERYTHING about that knife; the blade, the blade grind, the shape of the handle, EVERYTHING!!! That one REALLY "speaks" to me.

That is one gorgous knife, great lines and craftsmanship, I'd be proud to own and show it off.

Thank you guys for the compliments! The ironwood really does make it, and I can't take credit for that. :)

The ironwood is beautiful, but it is the execution that makes the knife for me. It is wonderfully finished and has great lines.
