This is my art knife I finished earlier this morning. I've been trying to become better at carving and for me the easiest way is to used files and keep my lines as simple as possible, since I'm still trying to figure out how to do more complicated designs. The blade and handle are made from about 200 layers of 5160/1075 in a ladder pattern. The insert handle material is brain coral.

I still have a ton of room for improvement, but I hope you like it anyway. :D

I like it a lot, Logan!
The carving has a nice flow to it.

Contact David Broadwell - he certainly could give you some tips on carving.

Thank you, Michael. I would love to pick his brain about carving, but I would hate to bother him. His work is really amazing. Hopefully I'll get a chance to talk to him soon.

Great looking knife. Thank you for posting the photos.
I hope you keep working with this style of sculpted knives.
Can't wait to see what the next one looks like.

That looks great Logan. Your work is quickly gaining an audience.

They're sharp too. David Etchieson got bit by one of yours the other day. Dont worry, He's ok.:)

Thank you! I plan on continuing to carve/sculpt my knives. With any luck I'll get better. My fingers are crossed. lol

Hey, Lin! I can't take very much of the credit on gaining a larger audience. I have David, Chuck, and you to thank for that. Along with some of the other great bladesmiths. I'm thankful for all of the help. That looks like a nasty cut, I really hope he is okay. Give him my regards and I hope you are doing well.

I had the chance to meet Logan and view his work firsthand at the Little Rock show.He is a very talented young man who will only get better in years to come.A word of advise to collectors, get his work now, because I can assure you that as his work gains poularity, supply and demand will cause prices to rise!Very nice Logan, keep up the good work, and be sure to keep me updated on my order!

Hey John! Thank you for all of the compliments. I should be forging the last set of petals tomorrow, if everything goes well. I'm hoping to send you some pictures around Monday. ;)

Here is a much, much better picture than the one I took. It does the knife a lot more justice than my photo. :)
