and boy are my arms tired!
Hi everyone, sorry about the silly humor, but I've been trading e-mails with a certain Hawaiian knife maker and I've sort of gotten into the habit. You might recognize his style.
What do you call a hammer-in at Tom's house? The Mayo Clinic!
You'll notice that my TNT has extra holes where Tom was nice enough to remove the pocket clip. He also sent along the clip, the screws and a torq screwdriver thingy in case I wanted to put it back on.
The first thing I noticed about the TNT is how light it is. I think it weighs less than my Benchmade 705, though it is quite a bit larger. This is the medium TNT with a blade lenghth of 3 1/4".
I think one of the reasons that many of like the TNT is it's Machine Age esthetic. You can easily imagine an old tool, say a wrench, sporting this kind of handle. It also reminds me of a strut on a P41 or a steering wheel on an old race car. It's, over all, a very pure functional form. I almost like the handle more than the blade, though the blade is kinda nice too... sharp as blazes and likely to remain so for a long time.
