Here's one Don Hanson picked before it was full grown. It's one of the best "to scale" minis I've seen and I hope my efforts to make a "to scale" sheath equal Don's ability.

The little knife is 5 5/8" end to end and is just a beauty. The sheath is the exact same style I would have put on a full size knife except the leather has been thinned to scale thicknesses and the stitching is pulled up to be as small as necessary along with very light weight thread so it doesn't loo like it was sewed with rope.

This little beauty lives with Rob Blanton in Kentucky. Thanks for the fun job, Rob.

impressive work on both parts!

Very cool, it strikes the imagination.

I am imagining a 1/4 scale:
Forge
Press
tiny stacks of alternating steel

Leather stamps
Leather shoulders from a very small cow.

I guess I have an active imagination

Thank you for sharing.

Man that is sweet and I think it is the first baby walrus tusk i have seen very cool

Paul, your skills are endless. Such a tough sheath to make, and look at the results! Awesome job, awesome package.

I can't believe it, wonderful small knife and small and great sheath!!! Nothing to say, just congratulations for both!!!

Paul,

1) Does the knife come with Ben Franklin there? ;)

2) Can you explain what you mean by "Stitching is pulled up"?

As always man - a work of art for a work of art. Well done to both makers.

1) Yes, but it will raise the price of the package about $125

2) I should have said shorten the stitch length (more stitches per inch)

Thanks for the kind words.
