Working in a very politically correct environment such as education means that it's better not to draw attention to yourself. Thus I have for a while now carried a designated "cute" knife since I can't seem to go a day without having to cut something. I also use this knife as my "loaner" when someone asks to borrow a knife.

For a while now I've been using a little Case lockback and it's been good to me, but I'm always in the pursuit of something better and I've finally got a little scratch burning a hole in my pocket so I'm looking at Spydercos since they seem to make several products that could fit the bill. The Cricket Meerkat and Dodo all come to mind.

My only difficulty is I have large hands. I could put an open Endura on a tabletop and easily completely cover it with just my palm and fingers if I extend my hand. I don't have the largest hands I've ever seen (I once met a man who could palm a basketball) but I've got fingers like sausages. The biggest pair of gloves your typical home improvement store sells are skin tight on me if they even fit.

I wonder if anyone else who has ever handled these little knives could possibly tell me which seems to be the most comfortable for someone with catcher's mitts attached to their wrists?

I would recommend the Meerkat. The pocket clip allows for very deep carry. Only the top surface of the knife is visable and the wire clip does not draw any attention. It does not read as a knife. It could be anything. The Meerkat / Navigator series design allows for a lot leverage for cutting more so than the dragonfly or cricket. The Meerkat is also available in drop point or S-recurve blade configuration.

eknifeworks.com has Navigators for 29.99 PE or SE.They work well for me and I have large hands. They are about the same thing as the Meerkat only made much better.
Heres a link http://www.eknifeworks.com/

I'd opt for the Dodo, as it has a full-sized handle, but a short (sheeple-friendly) blade.

Try a Dragonfly, they are a "big little knife". They are an awesome little knife.

Forget the sheeple.

Go for a Military, Police, Matriarch, Civilian, or Spyderhawk.

The scarier the better.:p :D

Well for the record I'm super happy with my Endura and I like the models SamuraiDave suggested a lot too, but really I'm just looking for an excuse to buy another Spyderco hehe.

I really like the big old handle and the specs on the Dodo, but the Dragonfly and Navigator are looking good too...

So many knives so little money :D

I'd go for the Salsa. Very good grip for a small knife. Well it's not as small as those that you've suggested, but still, I like the flat grind and the handle.

Another vote for the Salsa. It's a bit too large for my hands, so I guess it may suit you well.
