Just found a 110 Boone and Crockett

I found it this afternoon at a Dick's store near me. It's the Conservation
series. It's priced at 39.99 just like the regular 110's.
I don't need another 110 to carry, but I was wondering if you guys
would buy it if you came across it for that price??
I'm not looking for it to appreciate, but just something to have.
I know this is all subjective, and everyone has different ideas, but I
kind of wondered how many more of these are out there, a year after
Introduction? I have no idea what they sold for new, maybe no more then
the 39.99?.
I kind of have this "Buck fever" thing going right now, and the only one I
have is just a regular 110. Would the B&C be legitimate enough to qualify
as a "Special Edition" in my soon to be growing Buck collection??
Thanks for any input.
Regards Sonny

I'd have jumpped all over that one for sure! They are an LE, and I've considered buying the set on Buck's site.

You did REALLY good on that one, it will be a great addition to your collection!

Hi All,

SonnyD, can you tell us if your new B&C 110 looks like a standard 110 with a laser etch of the B&C logo on the blade? I just saw one like I described on the bay and it is not the B&C LE's most are thinking of that are in the Buck catalog.

JB's got it . They are not the 301 slip locks in the gift tins with the emblem and green paperstone . DM

Hi Guy's I didn't buy it yet, but I'm sure it's still there.
Plumbrdv, it doesn't look like those. It looks like a regular 110 with the
normal wood scales, but it does have the Conservation emblem on the
blade. I can't find any pictures anywhere of any like it. It has the collectors
tin, and sheath. It was in one of clamshell packages so I really couldn't get to the knife itself.
But again, the only thing different about it was the etching or stamp on the blade. The blade also appeared to be of a more satin finish. I don't think it's
any kind of rare knife like the ones you posted, as I see those going for 130 dollars and up.

OK guys, I just found one that sold on ebay. The winning bid was 30
dollars so I guess that's why they were only 40 at Dicks. Here's the
sellers pic from the bay.

I got one at Dick's when they were on sale for $29.99 back a few months ago. I posted about it here. I actually paid $24.99 because I had a $5 off coupon!

Cool deal!!!!..hard to beat a 110 for that price.

Sonny it's not the 110 I thought it was,but it's still a good buy:thumbup:
When you compare most any Buck to the high end name brands,or most stuff made by custom knife makers it's a no brainer:)

Plumber if you want to buy the three knife set you showed in your posting, i'd suggest you buy it from Smokey Mountain Knife Works. The Buck price is $720 but I bought the set from SMKW for $449.

Thanks for the tip, but I just ordered it from Buck. With my BCCI discount, it's a really great deal.

I think Larry O has it for 60% off the suggested retail price of 720$, for BCCI life members only...

Unless it's changed or it's a special deal on the set, Larry's prices have been 50% of retail plus 10% for BCCI lifers. That would be $360 + $36 + shipping.
