I clean carpets and do disaster restoration I just got this knife it seems pretty perfect its thick for prying up carpet, its sheeple friendly, inexpensive, and has an extended tang for scraping type stuff. Also its carbon steel for ease of sharpening. Anyone know of any similar knives? I would like to have a little work knife rotation. They must have thick blades like this for prying etc.

Actually Dan I definitely will be buying more, I have never been able to justify edcing a fixed blade and I'm exited to find a pattern that I really like for edc. Just wondering if there were other knives of this type available. I have thoroughly looked and found nothing really. Thanks tahomazz that one might actually fit the bill.

When i worked in home improvement with my father I carried a boker Magnum Bulldog, I know it was not anything in the same realm of what you have in mind but for the price and what i put it through I was highly impressed I it go the job done very well

CRKT Razel. There are a couple fixed versions and a folding version that are relatively inexpensive.

There are several inexpensive wharncliffe knives available.
Would you prefer a fixed blade or a folder? Or a mix of both?

You really don't need to pry with the blade on the knife you have there because it has a pry bar on the end of the handle, and using that is your best bet.

I second the Razel though.

I carry a Razel for work. I'm a Carpenter and I love having a chisel and a knife in my pocket. Custom made by Jon Graham in CPM 154 CM.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Bladechick I am specifically looking for fixed blades I have quite a few good folders, also that little pry thing is amazing i use it to scrape pry etc, but i like the versatility of a stout blade. That razel looks pretty awesome ive been looking at those for some time now. Also, its not a must, but recently I've really been loving that carbon , I can just get it so sharp so easily.

Mora make an "electricians" knife with a strong stubby blade and a chisel knife for scraping and prying.

You might also consider the curved and straight blade Bahco wrecking knives - tough (4mm of tool steel), cheap, great at scraping and prying:
