Just found out, 3rd kiddo is on the way! Although it still hasn't sunk completely in, I'm thinking a new knife is in order, as I'm going to be broke for the next few years again.
congrats and best of luck!
maybe it's just me but i'd pass up a new knife unless you're in desperate need of one, and start saving for the future.
Small Seb, then when the little one is born, get it customized with their DOB on it, and some other cool stuff, like a zodiac sign, or something like that. Would be an heirloom. Congratulations!!!
I'd say you should fall quickly for one of those coveted blades you've been staying on the fence until now. Within reason and it must be a really good knife, so you can enjoy it over years and years. Coz' your life is gonna change...
Congrats, just had my 3rd 4/2012, (and first boy). What a treat. I got fixed while she was still preggo snce he was already a surprise (with her on the shot and all) so no more for us. The 3rd is by far the easiest.
Congrats! Even though it was a surprize that is a nice surprize. I got fixed too to prevent any future surprizes:thumbup: if you can wait and swing it, I would save a little and get a CRK with the matching birthdate for you new kiddo!
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm super stoked, and I know it's a blessing. We understand the sacrifices, and that they are well worth it. It's still crazy the thought that another bladeforums member is on the way!
I got my little Peanut a Case peanut made on her birthday. Going to give it to her when she gets married. It only took three months and seven dealers, but we got one tracked down. It's priceless to me.
I did something simular with my first 2 girls, I bought 2 Case Stockmans both identical, thinking one day when a lucky boy is marrying them, I would give the husbands one each to make sure they had a good knife to care for my Daughters. When I find out if it's a boy or girl, I'll make a better decision. When I started the post, I more meant a knife for me, so maybe now it's 2 knives?
