I have tried to google my way to some answers about this knife to no avail. Does anyone have any information on this knife, or maybe point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Those patent numbers pertain to methods of manufacturing shell handles and shields for the shell handles.

What i have discovered so far:
2284833 - Method and apparatus for making knife handles and component parts thereof. Published 05/02/1942.
p2689400 - Knife handle and to method and apparatus for making the same. Published 09/21/1954.
2479855 - Improving knife handle whose covering means includes a thin non-metallic scale embodying a metallic or nament which extends through an accurately matching aperture in the scale. Published 08/23/1949.

So i have a knife made sometime after 09/21/1954, and has simulated pearl in the handle. It seems that a lot of different Imperial knives have these exact patent numbers. I was hoping to find out the name of this knife.

Thanks

It's a serpentine jack knife with MOTS (Mother of Toilet Seat) handles. Looks like it might be a 3 1/4" closed length. I have one like it with burgundy MOTS handles. The steel in these is good stuff. Nice styling with the long pull on the clip blade and grooved hollow bolsters.

2170537 - Mirando 1939, Hammer Brand, knife handle and parts thereof
2231782 - Not sure

The patent numbers on the burgundy jack are different, there are only two.

The burgundy jack bears the 1946 to 1954 stamp (#11), yours is the 1956-1988 (#12) stamp.
