Hi, I am brand new here, and have come seeking your advice.

I have owned many "inexpensive" knives in the past, but am looking to pick up something with a bit better quality that will start my collection and last me for years to come.

Looking to spend $150-200 but not limited to only that price range. (Unfortunately can't afford something like a Sebenza at this time.)

My knife needs would basically be edc and possibly light camping/outdoorsy needs. I am not really into the tactical stuff, blacked out knives, tantos, etc, but I do like the overbuilt style knives.

Size isn't really an issue to me, wouldn't mind something a little smaller but not against a big folder (My current edc is a CRKT M21-04)

My preferences from what I have been looking into include but are not limited to a Titanium frame-lock flipper design, preferably with a bearing pivot (though maybe i'm just succumbing to the hype and this isn't necessary.)

Currently looking at possibly purchasing one of the following (some aren't released yet)

-ZT 0450
-ZT 0808
-ZT-0801
-Brous Blades Bionic 2.0 (I know its not a titanium framelock, but I really like this little guy.)
-QTRMSTR Emmett Brown QSE-8
-Kizer Tomcat Ki4450A3 (BHQ exclusive with the sheepsfoot style blade)
-Lionsteel SR2-Aluminum
-Reate District 9

These are some that I really like, though there is nowhere local for me to actually see the knife in person and hold it in my hand.

Also would like to know any other knives that fall into the same sort of categories that you personally recommend. Thanks everyone!

If you're not exactly sure what you want, I'd look around on the exchange for a lightly used one, I'd say start with a ZT from wjat you've said. You'll save some money over new, and if you don't like it, you can turn around and sell it for a similar price. However, I wouldn't limit yourself to bearings, as I have had some very nice knives without. I haven't personally owned any if the knives you've mentioned, the 801 being the one I've thought about most, but the cold weather here in MI has turned me off to metal handles for the winter months lol. Good luck on your search! Whatever you get, use it for a while before choosing to jeep or move on. Some knives need to grow on you.
