I'm soooo friggin happy, I just got a Bader 3 !!! Now I can finally finish up all that I have recently started but could'nt finish because the DAMN GRIZZLY I had blew on me ! and the Multi tool I use as well is extremely limited. Hand filing took forever and a day too. Now to streamline my operation a bit more and get my friggin act together. In the near future (hopefully) I'll get a KMG and hook that baby up as well. Then I'll have two great machines. Ahhhhh, I feel good !.....RDT

Sounds like it's time to go Kerambit Krazy!!!!

Happy to hear that you finally got that professional grinder. I am hopeing to have the cash stashed away to buy a KMG-1 at the Badger Show at the end of this month.

Are you planning on flat grinding or did you get a contact wheel for hollow grinding? If you plan on doing any flat grinding, you are going to want to get a different platen for your Bader. The platen they provide is just a piece of angle iron that is neither flat nor does it have the same angle at each end. I believe one edge is round and the other is 90 degrees.
 
Thanks Jim, Danbo. I usually hollowgrind. Or combined a hollow and chisel grind. So I just use wheels. Right now all I have is the 8" wheel and some smaller wheels like a 2" and 1/2" and 1". I plan on getting even smaller wheels as I like to gfet into the nooks and cranneys of a knife. Anyway, I think I'm gonna get a 10" wheel tomorrow. and the platen just to do the flats and take any scale off etc. Take care.....RDT
