Just got a DPX-2 Folder

The HEST folder. The tool is missing, but knife is in excellent shape. It should compliment my RAT-1 quite well.
 
You know I have carried the tool on my keychain for months and only used it twice. Both times to tighten the pivot.
 
if you bought it new it should have come with it and you should contact DPX to get one...the only time i've used it is to take on/off the glass breaker piece on the end (i don't normally have it on)...
 
She made it today. This is one hefty Frau, very strong and built Blade verrrry sharp, no dings on it at all and it has the window breaker.
It's going to take some work to get used to flipping this open.

Great knife. Spend some time opening and closing it and she'll work out any stickiness with the lock. Mine is smooooooth after a few thousand times.
 
I bought one last weekend and love the form, build, etc.

My lockup however is extremely sticky. If I flip it open, even lightly, it takes an extreme amount of force to get it unlocked. Opening it manually with my hand it sticks a little bit, but nothing like a tiny flip will do.

I'm hoping it works itself out over time, might have to send it in at some point if it doesn't!
 
Just got mine today and the detent is so strong its impossible to open one handed. But it will break in with time. Gotta say I loved the first Hest I had but really love the new version!!!!
 
Congrats you are gonna love it. I have the sterile first edition and it is now my daily carry knife. I know they had a rough patch but these are really fine tools. I am overwhelmingly impressed. Frankly the only time I don't carry it is when I'm carrying my grayman dua. All the best.
Btw, RYP customer service is top notch as well. Its nice to have someone stick their name on something and actually stand behind it. Bully for you Mr Pelton!

Same case as mine. I'll soon get blisters on my thumb
If I close the knife too many times LOL!

Also got mine last week. Closing is making my fingers so hurt. Can't close it with the thumb. Hope it gets better.

Another strange thing is when I got the knife. I noticed that it has the word "Lock" and the arrow on the knife.
But when I look at the pictures or videos of other 2.0 knives, there is no such word on them.
Doesn't only version 1.0 folder has this word on the knife?
Don't think the buyer send the wrong version to me because all the box and instruction manual are for 2.0 knife.
Is this normal, please clarify me. (See pictures below)

I had already paid so much for this knife (175$ for the knife, 29.95$ for shipping to Thailand and another 50$ for custom charge)
 
Definitely contact DPX gear. They will make it right for sure. Great customer service. As far as the markings on the titanium, im not real sure as mine did not come with that.

That looks like a 2.0 to me. The pocket clips on the two designs are different, and yours has that of the 2.0.
Also, if it has a liner on the g10 side, it's the hest one. No liner = hest 2.0.

That blade centering can be adjusted by the pivot, too.
