Hey guys,

Just got this today, its a Gen II Howling Rat with a sterile blade, she's a beaut. I also got a Basic 11 today from another seller on the exchange, good timing i guess.

The post office told me that i wouldn't be getting it till tmw, i was pleasantly surprised when the post woman showed up with 2 boxes for me!!!

This is what awaited me

So nice, I like her dimensions better than the HRLM for general, light duty use.

So i had to open the other box, and this is what i found

and here is the Res-C pair together

Sorry for the lousy pics, I'm at work and its rather rainy outside, so its the best i could do. More to come guys.

Old School! Nothing better! CongRatulations!!! :D

That HR is one of my favs- good buy!

Light use? That thing is a work horse!

rpn,
I'm sure you're right, i was just comparing it to my friends HRLM in my mind, and its positively svelte compared to that. Can't wait to get it next to the HRLM and my RMD and get a group impression, maybe a family photo when the weather permits.

Svelte...awesome! I hear you though. Nice rat collection you have going!

Nice looking blades! I hear those handles are really comfortable, but they just don't do it for me in the "looks" dept. Still sweet though.

That's why they need to release the RAT MASTIFF COPPER.

Then i can have my Res-c users and black paper users.

My RMD is getting lonely.

The handle, on both knives, is very comfortable. The choil on the Gen II howler is HUGE. Bigger than the choil on my RMD or B-11. Its also light, 2 ounces lighter than the HRLM, and very differently balanced. Its funny how much they have in common and how different they feel in the hand. Here i give the handle advantage to the HRLM.

Ambien is now kicking in...post trailing off... more to come.
