Those are very impressive looking splitters! I didn't realize that the cheeks were hollow ground like that. Very interesting.

It's a very well made maul. No Joke. I know it's expensive, but man, the first time I swung mine into a round, it split in half so easily, and I laughed out loud to myself at how much time and effort I had wasted with other tools. 31" handle also is perfect for my swing.

I congratulate you Sir! That is the very splitter I intend to buy- I just bought a Counsel Tools Felling Axe -but outstanding choice on Gransfor-bet it goes through wood like butter.
