So yes I finally got one and the grind was something that really made me nervous, since I had machetes with hollow grinds that didn't last one outing.

Having checked out the grind, which is BARELY a hollow grind, I know it will be excellent outdoors.

You just got Whoopass incarnate.

More knife than machete, and tough. Real tough.

It's a solid piece of work, for sure. I just think it's funny they called it the "Grass Machete" when it's pretty much the opposite of a typical traditional machete intended for grasses. :D :D :D

Enjoy the heck out of your new choppin' companion, dude!

Yeah the thing is a beast. The first time I check it out was when it first came out and I didn't even check the specs, but I thought it was some thin, lightweight machete really for cutting tall grasses. Where I come from that kind of tool is just a waste of energy. I got lost in a field with 9 foot+ tall grass once.

Anyway, I say a few of you guys talking on here about it and then I saw Joe who works with Condor, say that its the only hollow grind he trusts, then Gavkoo said the hollow grind is very shallow (barely hollow). So all of that made me pick one up. I got the last one in Europe, so I think I'll be picking one up again.

I also like how the hardness isn't so high, so I know because of the steel type and hardness, this thing can take a beating.

Congrats on getting it!

I've been eyeballing it for replacing my 6$ (basically tin) Ozark Trails Walmart Machete that I picked up as holdover blade for a couple weeks after my Bowie knife broke.

Can't wait to hear about the "beating" you hopefully intend on giving it ;)
