I just got my first XM this week and its by far the most impressive blade I have ever had. It has been my ultimate grail for years. Ti scales have not yet been made for Gen 4 3.5. When they exist, we all will be fighting for them, and it will be obvious (if you keep an eye on the Websites and Forums) when they are available.

Somewhat burried in this informative thread it claims approximately Oct. 2011. The 3.5 is currently still in Generation 4.

Now "you" can begin to see why most all things Hinderer are so sought after. The quality is never in question and demand always high. It's a fairly small operation. Factor in--not only do they increase production of the XMs and add new items but more poeple discover the brand each day. So getting ahead is a very difficult task.
