Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!

The mail carrier just dropped this little beauty off! What can I say??!?!! I've never been a fan of little knives, but boy does this one feel bigger in the hand than it would seem at first glance. And the Phantom Lock - too cool!!!!

Like most of the Spydies I've had or seen, this one came with near perfect fit and finish. The only defect that I have seen is a little snot of metal inside the Spydiehole. Otherwise, this knife is perfect!!!

The one I received opens oh-so-smoothly, and of course it is shavin' sharp right out of the box. I found out very quickly that when closing this knife, hand position is very important! I had a few close calls where I thought my fingers were out of the way, but it turned out the meat of my fingers were still there...

Kudos to Sal and the Spydie Design Team!

Great knife isnt' it! I really enjoy mine. Funny though, mine had that little metal snot too. hmmmm

I've had my Meerkat for five days and I can't seem to put it down. The hole on mine is perfect, as is the rest of the knife!

I got one a few weeks ago, it was #71. And it was great, but then I thought to myself, why use a possible collector's item when I can pick up another plain one. But then I thought to myself, this would be the perfect gift knife. So I bought 2 more (1 for myself and 1 to give to my sister). And I plan on picking up a few more for Xmas presents. It's such a nice little knife.

I've had it over the weekend now, and I only like it more! Personally, I like the fact that the knife feels like more knife than it is.

It's so good, I'm even thinking of trading my small Sebenza for a large Sebbie (or maybe a large SpydieKnife + cash :)), since the Meerkat totally takes on the role that I needed a small knife for. Which is to use around sheeple and carry onto the military base that I work on (which, as it turns out, the small Sebbie is still too large!)

Just got my Meerkat today from Knifesales on Ebay. Three days delivery from Massachusetts, not bad at all. This knife is just incredible:) The phantom lock is too cool, and it's at least as sharp as my Calypso Jr FRN, as I drew blood shaving wrist hair. I agree with others about it handling like a bigger knife, and it has a nice weight. This piece is a real winner.

I ordered a Meerkat for my father-in-law. This will be his first spydie so I hope he likes it. You mentioned some metal "snot" inside the spydie hole. I've never heard that term referring to metal, but this one has a little chunk of metal on the inside of the spydie hole also. It's pretty tiny so I dont think it will matter. It's just interesting that two have that.
I like the feel of the meerkat, but that clip is really stiff. I'll have to bend it out to loosen it a little.
