Back in July I bought a socfk-A, I'm really pleased with it. I got some great information from you guys when I was trying to decide on one model.
Well last week I found a Mini Commander on sale and picked it up. The blade is marked 2006 so it must have been recently produced. The fit and finish is really nice. One of the things I noticed is that the hardware (including the clip) has a nicer finish than my two older EK's. The screws are more counter-sunk into the handle slabs than my other knives too, it gives the handle slabs a nice finished look. I never owned a non-coated blade so I can't compare it to older models , but the bead blasting or whatever the finish, is also very nice.
My only complaint ( and maybe someone can help) is on this knife the blade is not centered and I must keep the pivot tight to avoid hitting the liner ( on the lock side). My other two EK's are perfect...
Can anyone give me any tips to correct this? I really don't want to send it back to the factory , but will as a last resort.
